的 Family 教育al Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. 法律 applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U. S. 教育部.

    1. School officials with legitimate educational interest;
    2. Other schools to which a student is transferring;
    3. Specified officials for audit or evaluation purposes;
    4. Appropriate parties in connection with financial aid to a student;
    5. Organizations conducting certain studies for or on behalf of 这所学校;
    6. 认证机构;
    7. To comply with a judicial order or lawfully issued subpoena;
    8. Appropriate officials in cases of health and safety emergencies; and
    9. State and local authorities, within a juvenile justice system, pursuant to specific 州法律.

Additionally, schools may disclose, 不同意, "directory" information. 然而, schools must tell parents and eligible students about directory information and allow parents and eligible students a reasonable amount of time to request that 这所学校 not disclose directory information about them.

Policy on Family 教育al Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (Notification to Students)

CSU, in full compliance with the Family 教育al Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, will make educational records available to students upon request. 同样地,按照 with the law, individually identifiable educational records will not be released other than to authorized individuals with the written consent of the student. 学生们 the right to file complaints with 的 Family 教育al Rights and Privacy Act Office (FERPA) concerning alleged failures by the institution to comply with the Act.的 Family 教育al Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. 这些权利包括:

  • 的 right to inspect and review their education records within 45 days of the day the University receives a request for access. A school official has a legitimate educational interest if the official needs to review an education record in order to fulfill his or her professional responsibility.   • 的 right to file a complaint with the U.S. 教育部 concerning alleged failures by State University to comply with the requirements by FERPA.

CSU considers the following categories to be directory information, and, as such, may release it to any or all inquirers in such forms as directories or computer address 列表:

General Information includes, but is not limited to, the following:
