You are considered a 经验丰富的 for financial aid purposes if:

  • You have engaged in active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • You are/were a member of the National Guard or Reserves and have served in active duty for purposes other than training.
  • You were a cadet or midshipman at one of the service academies and were released under a condition other than dishonorable.

You are not considered a 经验丰富的 for financial aid purposes if:

  • You have never engaged in active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • You are currently an ROTC student, cadet, or midshipman at a service academy.
  • You are a National Guard or Reserves enlistee activated only for training.

To be eligible for admissions to Chicago State University as a 经验丰富的, you must:

  • Complete and submit the online application via the Common Application or the CSU Online Application.
  • Submit official transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions from 所有 colleges and universities attended.  注意: If you have less than 24 semester or 36 quarter hours, you will also need to submit an official high school transcript with your graduation date included.
  • Request your official ACT or SAT 分数 be sent directly to Chicago State University from the College Board and/or ACT - only if applying with less than 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours of earned college credit. 
  • 大一新生 and transfer 经验丰富的 applicants must meet admission criteria (metrics) established for regular admissions.

注意:If your metrics (grade point average and test score) f所有 below the criteria listed above, you may be asked to submit a personal statement, essay, and letter of recommendation. You should use the personal statement to provide additional information about your motivation to attend college. The admissions committee will use these documents to review your application holistic所有y and for consideration for conditional acceptance.

As an incoming transfer student, it is your responsibility to:

  • Contact the Office of 经验丰富的s Affairs and make arrangements to meet with us prior to the beginning of your first semester. Please bring a copy of your DD214 to the initial meeting.
  • Addition所有y, it would be helpful if you would provide us with copies of academic transcripts from previous schools.
  • 转移 students will also be required, depending on what benefits they receive, to complete a VA Form 22-1995.

Continuing and Returning Students

As a continuing and/or returning student, it is your responsibility to contact the Office of 经验丰富的s Affairs and make arrangements to meet with us prior to the beginning of every semester. This meeting is required to ensure the continuing use of your benefits. If you do not meet with us, you will not be certified for that particular semester.  For additional information, please contact the VA/Scholarship Coordinator in the Office of Student Financial Aid, ADM. 2017 or c所有 773/995-2304.
